Lavender is in the mint family and can be used for cooking just like other herbs. Lavender compliments sweet desserts, drinks such as tea or lemonade, as well as savory meats & vegetable dishes.
Use conservatively and choose Lavendula Angustifolia varieties for culinary purposes, rather than X Intermedia varieties which are usually bitter. Here are just a few ideas:
