Description

Culinary lavender (angustifolia) in .25 oz (4 T) or 1.0 oz (16 T) lidded jars.  Royal Velvet is our standard cultivar of choice, with Folgate and Melissa also generally available.  Prepared for cooking by removal of most stems and plant components, leaving the delicious lavender bud intact.  Our lavender is grown without the use of pesticides or herbicides and is harvested and cleaned by hand.

Lavender is in the mint family and can be used for cooking just like other herbs.  Lavender compliments sweet desserts, drinks such as tea or lemonade, as well as savory meats & vegetable dishes.

Use conservatively and choose Lavendula Angustifolia varieties for culinary purposes, rather than X Intermedia varieties which are usually bitter.  Here are just a few ideas:
